In this year 2022, if you want to start blogging in respect to the fact that it makes for an easy sharing of ideas, then there are some terminologies in blogging you should know and might have come across.
1. CMS: this stands for content management system. It is a robust package that allows you to manage all your contents including videos, images, texts and audio. A typical content management system can be free or paid. Examples are blogger or blogspot.com, WordPress, Drupal or Joomla!
2. Ad space: this is a space on your blog where people can place their adverts. It makes for easy monetization of blogs through AdSense or other means. You might wonder why I made sure this terminology is at the top, it is because everybody wants to make money!
3. FB: FB is the shortened form for Facebook. It would interest you to know that you can get more website visitors when you share your links on FB.
4. Traffic: this is a name given to the number of people that come to your blog per time.
5. Chanel: a means of sharing blog posts.
6. Media: everything that has to do with communicating with a large audience. You can add "mass," to it if you want to get a clearer view of it.
7. Monetization: the act of making money off your efforts. It can be done through AdSense, ezoic or adsterra.
8. Indoor: this is a term for people who always stay at home to work!
9. Voice: this a particular tone with which you communicate with your audience. It is particularly good when you want to be seen as an established Blogger.
9. Banner: a sample of ad on your blogging space.
10. Logo: what represents your brand.
11. Favicon: also stands for favourite icon. It is what you see on your browser as a tiny image when you visit a website.
12: URL: it stands for universal resource location. It is what tells your audience where your contents are located.
13. Contents: it is what makes up your blog. That is the videos, the posts and all that. Content is King is a very common saying among bloggers.
14. Domain: this is the name of your website or blog.
15. Subdomain: this is the name of a website that is not independent. Eg yourblog. Something. Com
16. Extension: what your domain ends with. Eg .com, .ng or .net.
17. Mod: someone who moderates a blog.
18. Amob: A type of monetization system.
19. Article: What you write on your blog.
20: Someone who visits your blog to submit an article for publication.
The list is inexhaustible but you can make research on your own.
In one way or the order, one day, you shall find yourself looking back to say that you have tried.
