Crucify Me: A Poem.
Look into my eyes
And tell me that it is not true.
Tell me that you have left me and I would doubt it but crucify me for the wrongs yet I live.
For the things I said that I didn't do. Crucify me but remember that I am still alive to make amends.
But in the meantime, crucify me.
Tell me you can bear the burdens of a thousand years and I would know what to answer you but tell me it's impossible to see you again and I will leave myself in doubt.
Crucify me for the little things I failed to put in place.
For the vital role I played in making you feel somehow
And for the days I looked away from your face in panic.
Crucify me!
